​MISSION AND OBJECTIVES

Peer Mediation is a proactive, student focused program. That empowers students to create an environment at Kapa'a High School that is safe and peaceful. Where everyone can have a higher respect and care for each other.

 

  • Objectives:

    • Create a cooperative, solution focused environment at Kapaa High School through peaceful conflict resolution.

    • To create a peer support structure by providing nurturing relationships, positive and high expectations and opprotunities for meaningful participation.

    • To perpetuate respect, love, and unity through a non-judgmental, accepting, and peaceful approach.

    • To better handle tough situations and obstacles in a calm and cool manner with the ability to stay focused and think clearly.

    • To strengthen the resiliency of students by developing stronger social confidence, problem-solving skills, autonomy, and sense of purpose.
